The long awaited theatrical trailer for Sylvester Stallone's action fest The Expendables has hit the web. The movie, which is a throwback to the action movies many of us grew up on in the 80's and 90's, has an allstar cast including Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Sly himself amongst a few cameos from the Governator and Bruce Willis. The film is due out the 13th of August. Trailer and plot after the jump.
A group of mercenaries is hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren't quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge -- one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.
The trailer has everything you'd expect, lots of explosions, fights, guns ,motorbikes, light comedy and then one thing you didn't expect, a glimpse at the scene between Willis, Stallone and Arnie. Seriously did not expect them to show any of that before the movie was released. Personally I was surprised my computer could handle the amount of testosterone that was on the screen in this trailer, it's just unreal. The Expendables is shaping up to be a fun action movie the likes of which we don't see a lot of anymore.
