A look at what's hitting the shelves and theaters this week in video games, comics, movies and DVDs.
Video Games: Just Cause 2 (AUS Release)- The game has hit the other major markets and now it's Australia's turn. It garnered an 81 on Metacritic for it's fun gameplay and beautifully crafted open world/sandbox environment. Take the role of Scorpio and see about freeing Panau. For PC, 360 and PS3.
Prison Break: The Conspiracy- It's a game based on a TV show....Yeah it's probably not going to be that great unless you are a major fan of the series. For PC
Comics: God of War #1- This one comes from DC Comics and looks to delve into the backstory of the Spartan warrior who has defied the gods and is the true God of War. Writer Marv Wolfman is at the helm of this six-part series with Anrea Sorrentino providing the artwork.
Governator #1- This comes from Antarctic Press and looks freaking crazy and kind of awesome. David Hutchinson writes this tale of the Governator, a glorious high-octane powerhouse. "That Governator is out there. It can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with, and it will not stop, ever...until his term is over."
X-Men: Second Coming #1- It's the culmination of four years of X-Men tales. What started with House of M and the near destruction of Mutantkind ends with Second Coming. Craig Kyle and Chris Yost pen this story of the return of Cable and Hope, the possible mutant messiah, from the future. Will Hope be the Messiah they were hoping for?
Movies: Clash of the Titans (Worldwide)- The biggest release of the week. A 3D epic that stars action movie it guy Sam Worthington and god himself Liam Neeson. The film promises stunning visuals and breathtaking action. Release April 1st.
The Warlords (US Release)- Chinese epic finally picks up a US release date. It's got Andy Lau, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Jet Li starring in this tale of civil war, politics, deceit and romance. I've seen it and it has some crazy cool fight scenes and battle that are definetley work checking out and the story is interesting to boot.
She's Out of My League (AUS Release)- Geeky guy meets attractive girl. Geeky guy gets attractive girl to like him. Family and friends begin to stress relationship. General hilarity ensues. Jay Baruchel stars in this romantic comedy with Mike Vogel and Alice Eve.
Why Did I Get Married Too? (US Release)- Tyler Perry is back with a follow-up to 2007's Why Did I Get Married? It focuses on four couples who meet up for a vacation in the Bahamas. An ex-husband shows up to win back his ex-wife and intense drama follows. Stars Tyler Perry, Janet Jackson and Michael Jai White.
