A few new trailers for the M. Night Shyamalan directed film The Last Airbender have hit the net. One of the trailers debuted during the same Kids Choice Award show that the Iron Man 2 TV spot aired on while the other one is the Japanese trailer for the film.
The trailers both show off a fair bit of the films element based action, which looks rather impressive. The Last Airbender world consists of four different nations: fire, water, earth and wind. The Fire nation are waging a war on the other nations in an attempt to control the world. Aang (the bald kid who is the focus of the film) is the last of his kind, an Avatar, who has the ability to use the power of all four elements.
In my opinion the Japanese trailer is so much better and begs the question, is everything better in Japanese? The trailer gives the movie a darker tone and the voice over is far more imposing and impressive in Japanese. Both trailers, though, make me rather interested in seeing this film even though I never watch the cartoon it is based on. It opens on July 2
