Now that the cast has been pretty much filled work surrounding the Green Hornet has really picked up. The film, which stars Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet, has begun shooting in LA and Splash News has managed to get some footage of the stunt people working through a few scenes. There's a bulldozer being dropped on cars and lots of other big explosions along with our first look at the Green Hornet and Kato's outfits which look okay, I prefer the look of Kato's over the Green Hornet's. It looks like it'll be action packed but with a touch of that Saturday morning cartoon villain violence with the dropping of a bulldozer on a car, presumably because the Green Hornet was in it.
Also ComingSoon.net has posted an article about a proposed Thomas The Tank Engine film. The movie, which will be part live action and part CGI, is being produced by HIT Entertainment who have produced the Bob The Builder, Barney & Friends and the Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends TV shows. HIT have just hired Shrek The Third screenwriter John Klausner to write the script for the movie. Obviously there will be a huge market for a Thomas movie as the toys and TV show are as popular as ever resulting in this being a must see for the 2-8 year olds and their parents. It'll be interesting to see how they decide on a story for a probably 90 minute movie and how they integrate the huge array of trains and other vehicles into the film. Thomas is no stranger to a live action adaptation with the film Thomas and the Magic Railroad starring Alec Baldwin, Mara Wilson and Peter Fonda being released in 2000. That film suffered from bad special effects, a poor story and casting Alec Baldwin in a kids film receiving a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 19%. This next Thomas film will want to address those issues.
